A Mid May Ride To Permberton
We took a nice ride up though Whistler and on to Pemberton. This first shots shows the Green River just before it drops down into Nairn Falls. Also shows the railway tracks that come down from the interiour on their way to the coast. That's the Pemberton valley in the background below those mountains.

Here we are at a pulloff by Green Lake at the north end of Whistler. Still lots of low level snow in the hills. Green Lake and all the streams north of Whistler flow northerly into Lillooet Lake and on to the Fraser River. Everything south of Whistler flows directly out to Howe Sound on the Coast.

Bike in the foreground, Blackcomb and Whistler mountains in the background with ski runs visible.

Green Lake and the bike.

Same spot, looking north. Thats a fun road up ahead. There is a rather steep tight switchback called 'Suicide Hill'. Take that section nice and slow and carefull from either direction.

This shot is at the north end of the Checkamus Canyon, about half way between Whistler and Squamish. Same rail line in the background.

'The Wife' looks a bit chilly here. She hadn't bundled up as well as she should have.

At least she knows a nice machine when she sees it!
