Tracks on the Quad
Swift Creek
March 14/09

I rode along as Warren's passenger as he headed up the Swift Creek trail above his place. He has had the set of tracks on his quad for almost a week now and has managed to go places where a quad just couldn't go on tires this time of year.

This section of trail is not much more that a narrow snowcovered ledge notched into the side of Garibaldi Mountain, under the north west slope of Brohm Ridge.

Fresh wet snow had been falling all morning and we were soaked. Every tree and branch we drove under dropped its load onto us.

Had it been clear there would have been a great view from this spot, as it was, we were socked in by thick cloud.

This link below will open an 8mg MOV. clip of Warren getting turned around on the narrow snowcovered ledge. The neat part is that when he backs up, he bumps a tree and gets dumped on by the dislodged snow. Like I said, the 30 second long clip is over 8mg in size so don't try to view it unless you have a high speed connection.
