The forest fire is basically out. Fully held and under control. The weather helped as all of a sudden it went from a heat wave to cool and damp.

Sherry came this week, got here on Tuesday. She flew in to YVR and Sonja (Wayne’s daughter from New Brunswick) flew in at the same time. Sonja came out for some work meetings and wanted to pop up to visit with Warren. She was on a very tight schedule but wanted to see us as well as the gondola too, and was being picked up by her friend. So, they hooked up with Sherry and brought her up to the gondola where we met them. I had scored free day passes for them and we all went up. They then continued on their way. Sherry’s visit was until the 23rd.

Because Sherry was here, I could let my guard down a bit and relax and even go out for a motorcycle ride. To that end, 4 of us hooked up on Thursday and rode over the Duffy up to Lillooet for lunch. Great ride. The usual slow motorhome driven by morons who won’t let faster traffic get past but other wise quite nice. Very chilly heading north, very hot in Lillooet, and comfortably warm coming back south.
