Yes, more weather
related
stuff…. The heat wave we had endured a couple of weeks
ago was
ended by a cold front that brought thunderstorms to many
parts of the
province and those storms included some pretty heavy
downpours. All
we got here was some nice rain, enough to cool the
forests down a
bit. However, the mountains inland got the heavy
downpours and that
runoff came out via the Squamish River. The sediments
being washed
down turned the river into a chocolate brown. As the now
brown water
met the Sound, the tide was going out and it drew the
runoff with it.
Instead of the usual mixing of the fresh and salt water,
the river
water stayed on top of the ocean water and stayed
together, forming a
meandering river on top of the Sound’s salt water. I
took these
shots from a gondola cabin because I found it
interesting. Then the
heat came back and more forest fires started, most human
causes as
per usual.

This has been one
of those
weeks from hell. Sue had been getting hard to deal with
as her moods
and anger were getting out of control. It became
apparent that one of
her meds, the one that helps control anxiety etc needed
to be upped.
I’m not qualified to make that kind of call so I did
manage to make
an appointment with the doctor but its not until the
first week of
next month. It also became apparent that we could not
wait that long
so I got back on the phone and explained the situation
and was
finally able to talk to an NP who agreed that her meds
needed to be
upped. So, I was able to double her evening med and that
did help.
