A Hike Along The River

A mild sunny and crystal clear mid March day, perfect for a hike along the Squamish River. The water level is low due to the fact that the snow is not yet melting up in the high country. Many sand and gravel bars that would normally be under water are exposed.

There is Sue and Janice walking along, with Warren checking out the black sand for 'colour'.

Looking up we see snow capped mountains rising above the treed ridges. I you look closely you can see an eagle way over and up, showing up against the snow ridge in mid left frame.

Looking up through a steep canyon we can see Serratus and her ice fields.

Here are the girls again, including Bella.

This shot is further down river where there are wetlands inland from the river. There is a pair of nesting swans down in there but only one can be seen here.
