| This
years lack of spring and summer have forced many local bears down into
the built up sections of the area where they have started to hunt for
the wrong food - our garbage. These pics were taken on garbage day
morning. Unfortunately, the sun was right in my camera's eye. |
| The bears work their way along
the street, checking for really smelly items. This particular bear
looks to be a year old, not a cub but not big yet. It's momma is around
somewhere, we had to wait while walking the other day as she was
crossing the street right in front of us. |
| Again, the sun was in our eyes
to the camera picked up some weird coloring. I growled at the bear and
that was enough to convince it to head for the forest. I guess my
reputation of being a grumpy old guy has gotten around. |
| Our dog Willow wanted very much
to go out and 'interview' this guy but we convinced her it was better
to stay on the balcony and watch the excitement from there. |
