A Pre-Christmas Run

Pictures supplied by Warren!

Another nice mild sunny west coast day. This picture was taken just below where the snow started. This section of trail is actually quite steep as you can see by the angle of the trees. That's me (doug) with my bike pointing back down hill. We bundle up for these rides because at this time of year as we climb in altitude, the temperatures can drop quite quickly.

The location in the picture above gave us some nice views to the west out over the valley. That is Alpha and the Tantalus Range over there.

This is looking north west. There are some clouds floating by.

Here is me again (doug) squeezing my bike under a gate at a bridge over the Mashiter Creek. There are often gates closing off areas that the logging companies or resourse ministries don't want vehicle traffic to enter. Of course there are other areas where you can ride for a hundred miles and never see a gate. Ironically, we had come to this gate from the 'closed' side as you can see by the sign.

End of the ride. We had trucked the bikes up to Alice Lake and are now getting loaded back up.
