Mamquam River Ride (2)
Now this is pretty cool. These shattered and shaped rocks are crystallized lava. This area was volcanically active just a few thousand years ago.
More lava slopes.
Rest stop along the trail. Off to the left the rocky slope drops off down to the river at an almost vertical angle. The road ahead drops of just about as steep.
That's a bridge over a river along the Mamquam Logging Main. We are up one of many countless spur lines.
Same spot, looking east. Have no idea what mountains those are because it is off my map.
We are back onto the Mamquam Main at this point. Those are the mountains we were looking at when we ate lunch.
