We attended the CMC spring picnic at Englishman Falls Pk on Vancouver Island. Caught the 8:30 ferry our of Horseshoe Bay over to Nanaimo and then scooted up the highway to Parksville where we hooked up with good friend 'Big Don' on his shiny new ride. From there we headed over to the picnic in the park.

Bikes were starting to roll in when we arrived. The day was cloudy but not cold and not raining so by this years standards, the weather was pretty good.

More picnickers rolling in. Everyone checks out the bikes. Bikes are like snowflakes, no two are the same.

Wonder what the 'other' park users thought about this! Most people tend to think its pretty cool.



Here's the most of the group, some were off viewing the falls, where the river tumbles into a narrow crevice. We had to head back to the ferry after the picture taking. This being a Sunday afternoon the ferries were filling up fast. Had we been in a car we would have had to wait at least one sailing, but we were on bikes so, as it should be, we rode right to the front of the line. And we got there with a good ten minutes to spare.
