| Members from 4 CMC chapters on
Vancouver Island came over for an
over-nighter in Cache Creek. Our 056 chapter met them in Hoseshoe Bay
as they came off the ferry and escorted them to Squamish for a BBQ at
our place. We then headed north through Whistler and Pemberton, and
over the Duffy to Lillooet. That took us through the Coastel Mountains
and into the Fraser Canyon country. It also took us from the temporate
rain forest climate to the arid dry Interior climate. The weather was perfect, the scenery was perfect. The people are the best there is. Traffic between Vancouver and Whistler was predictably misserable but beyond there it was smooth sailing. We rumbleds in to the motel in Cache Creek where we simply relaxed and had a great time. My friend in the Kootenay's who is a CMC Lone Rider rode in for the occation. Next morning we all saddled up and headed for home, riding through some of the most scenic country this world has to offer. It was a nice weekedn. Because this was as much a CMC ride as one of my rides, I have posted pictures to Photobucket rather than to this site. Those pictures, and pictures taked my theres can be seen there.
